Washington – Fall City/Seattle

November 13-17, 2019

Who doesn’t want to LOVE on a wallaby and stay in a Treehouse?

Washington is known for its diverse geography, which includes mountains, forests, and coastal areas. Whether you enjoy hiking, camping, or simply taking in stunning views, there is something for everyone in this beautiful state.

We had the best time exploring this lush green breathtaking state and still have so much to see. We started our trip in Fall City, this is a small town about 25 miles east of Seattle. We visited The Fall City Wallaby Ranch. This 10 acre property is dedicated to breeding Wallabies and Red Kangaroos. The owners Rex and Tawny Paperd, have really dedicated all their time and energy to this.  You can definitely see and feel their love for these animals when you visit. They offer group tours for a small fee, and it is well worth it. We really enjoyed spending time here and learning and interacting with these animals. It was incredible!

Of course since we were in the area, we had to stay at TreeHouse Point. This is a one-of-a-kind destination that offers a unique blend of luxury and nature. It’s an ideal place for anyone looking to disconnect from the stresses of daily life and reconnect with nature in a peaceful and beautiful setting. They offer 6 unique treehouse options available for rent. Located on 4 acres of forested land along the Raging River.  In addition to the treehouses, TreeHouse Point also offers a variety of amenities for guests to enjoy. There are hiking trails, a hot tub, and a sauna, as well as a communal lodge where guests can gather and relax.

In Seattle we met up with some friends and family and set out to explore the city. Seattle is a vibrant and bustling city located in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States. It is the largest city in Washington state and is known for its stunning natural surroundings, thriving tech industry, and rich cultural scene. One of the most iconic landmarks in Seattle is the Space Needle, which offers stunning views of the city and surrounding mountains. Other popular attractions include Pike Place Market, which is a bustling farmers market that has been around since 1907, and the Seattle Waterfront, which offers beautiful views of Elliott Bay.

The Pike Place Market is alive and hopin’! It excites all the senses, the sounds, colors, flying fish and smells will surround you. Just around the corner you can stop and see the gum wall. I wasn’t a huge fan of this, I felt it was a bit disgusting but when in Seattle! You can also walk right across the street and check out the very first Starbucks, which opened in 1971.

Specking of Starbucks we also made our way to the Starbucks Reserve Roastery. Through the roastery Starbucks can share their discoveries with the world in a comfortable bar like feel. While they roast millions of beans in the background.
