Amalfi Coast

May 15-16, 2017

Good Morning Mediterranean Sea!

After getting a rental car we headed to the Amalfi Coast. This was a driving experience! the roads feel like they are one lane and are full of  hair pins turns. We loved it when we weren’t praying to survive the journey.  And let me tell you it was well worth it.

The Almalfi Coast is a stunning and picturesque stretch of coastline in southern Italy, situated along the Mediterranean Sea.  It’s a popular travel destination for it gorgeous scenery, luxurious resorts, ancient history, and delicious cuisine.  Visitors can hike along the coastal trails, go on boat rides to nearby islands, or simply relax and soak in the culture.

We stayed at the Hotel Panorama, which is right on the water. With views that did not disappoint!

We fell in love with the little town of Maiori. We found the most delicious limoncello to bring home after doing our fair share of tastings. We were introduced to the Hugo. Which will now be my go to cocktail for life! Will attach reciepe below! We tried fried pizza and learned what a liter of wine is…

We wandered to the neighboring town which is literally just around the next hair pin turn. On the way I was scatted on by what I think was a pterodactyl.  Hilarious and not funny what so ever!!!

But makes for a good reason to find a spa. Where we had the most interesting messages of our lives. I will just leave it at that.

HUGO

  • Fill Large Wine Glass with ice
  • Add 30 ml of Elderflower Cordial
  • A Splash of Soda Water
  • Fill with Prosecco to the Top
  • A Squeeze of Fresh Lime
  • Garnish with Fresh Mint

Enjoy!
