Puerto Penasco – Rocky Point

September 26-29, 2019

Shhhhhh! Mexico’s best kept secret!

And here I’m gunna tell you all about it!  Rocky Point, also known as Puerto Peñasco, is a beautiful coastal city located in the northwestern part of Mexico, in the state of Sonora. It’s about a 4 hour drive from Phoenix, AZ.  It is known for its stunning beaches, warm weather, and delicious seafood. It’s a great place to relax and enjoy the sun, sand, and sea.

Rocky Point has a vibrant nightlife scene, with plenty of bars and clubs to choose from. Some of the most popular spots include:

Banditos: This bar and restaurant is known for its live music, great drinks, and lively atmosphere.  It is just around the corner from where we stayed.

             – Wrecked at the Reef: This beach bar is a favorite among tourists and locals alike. It’s a great place to grab a drink, listen to music, and watch the sunset.

             – BooBar: This popular nightclub is located in the heart of Rocky Point’s party district. It features live music, DJs, and a dance floor that stays packed until the early hours of the morning. It is right on the water so nice for lunch also and has fun swing seats at the bar.

             – Elixir Rooftop Lounge: This rooftop bar offers stunning views of the ocean and the city. It’s a great place to relax with a cocktail and enjoy the scenery.

We stayed at the lovely Bella Sirena Resort, this place is right on the water.  The grounds are emaculate there is a large pool with swim up bar. They often have live music by the pool in the afternoons. There is a beautiful lawn to lounge on and enjoy the view of the ocean.  You can walk out to the beach and get a massage down by the water, for the ultimate relaxing afternoon.  This vacation spot is great for a long weekend or even a week to soak in the sun and sea air.

Town is just a short taxi ride away. The main drag has a number of bars, restaurants, and shopping opportunities!

Do you ever wonder what your life would be like if you sold everything and started a new life in Mexico?
