Venice

May 6, 2016

Arriving in Venice, Italy in the dusk of night is special. A man in a water taxi awaits you while it feels like the city is asleep.

It’s quiet there is no sense of rush. The sun has gone down and a breeze trickles past your shoulders. You made to Italy, let the adventure begin! The skies were illuminated by the shining stars and the moon glowed above the canals. I could feel the stillness of the city, its ancient history and culture surrounding me. As I stepped out of the water taxi and onto one of the many bridges, I was in awe of both the beauty and mystery of this enchanting city.

Venezia di notte!

We stayed in Lido just a water taxi away from Venice. This charming long and narrow island located in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy. It is known for its beautiful beaches, luxurious hotels, and the Venice Film Festival that takes place there annually. This The island is approximately 11 kilometers long.  We loved it there, I wouldn’t mind going back to spend a few more days just there.
